2007 Mariners, the craziest ride.

I have to say, this years team does things in the most abstract way.

Tonight.....

Weaver>> "Sorry guys, I think I am going to give up a huge lead in the 1st two innings"
The Team>> "Thats okay Weav, the fans are use to it"

At the secret team meeting in the dugout in the 6th inning
Johnny Mac>> "Okay guys....how should we win this one?"
Adam Jones "If you dont mind Coach, I'll sit on the bench, even though I should be playing"
Johnny Mac "Good Idea Adam, you'll be starting next year, so no need to use you this year"
Yuni "Coach, would ya mind if I get a key hit tonight?"
Johnny Mac "Sounds Good Yuni, Make it a double. Adrian, since people havent really appreciated all that you have done this year. Maybe they will take there nose out of their Lattes and praise the AL's best 3rd baseman"

Beltre "Sound good coach, I'll just single home the winning run...no need for a HR...I'll just hit 40 next season"

Rowland-Smith>> "Coach, I volunteer to share Ho-Rams spot in the Rotation with Campy"
Johnny Mac>> "Ryan, shut up and just dont let them score"
Ichiro "Coach, If we win this one, you're buying everyone some "Ichi-Rolls" from the sushi-bar behind homeplate"


I wont jinx the team and suggest the craziest comeback ever to make the playoffs...the last time I even mention the word....the death-streak happen.

I love the Mariners...and I hope the last 2 wins (heart-attack kind) are a huge win streak.....

BTW...Attention Johnny Mac....More Adam Jones, and please yank Ho-Ram and Weaver from the rotation....at least see where we stand with Campillo and other potential #5 starters next year.

King Felix comes through and ends the dreaded losing streak...and finally allows me to post something.
Watching a 2 game leads in the wild card and only 1 game behind the Anal-Angels, plummet into 7 games behind the angels and 2 games BEHIND THE YANKEES has to be the worst week and a half of my life.

This Mariner team is 2 Starting pitchers from being "playoff good"...
The Mariners offense is good, but far from potent of the elite teams....

BUT....

They are in the still Playoff hunt...

I've had this feeling since the beginning of the year they would make the playoffs, and have felt it was going to be in dramatic fashion....but I never expected the heart-attack methods they are using.....Four 6+ game losing streaks? No other team has done it before and made the playoffs.

I'd give anything for the Mariners to pull this out.....

Man this feels sooooooo good......

Its so much fun watching the ups, downs and developement of a great pitcher.

I know the Mariners...When they make the playoffs....Its probably gonna be the Wild Card.....

But....It would be another story book playoff run to win the division....I know its a pipe dream...I will definatley take the wild card....but If the do win the division...at least I will be down as believing they would overtake the angles (because if there is a team that can do it, its the mariners...they have the potential of winning 20 out of 22)
